MAREDSOUS ABBEY


About

The abbey was founded in 1872 by Benedictine monks from Beuron in Germany. The first architect, Baron Bethune, opted for a neo-gothic style for the edifice. Located in the picturesque Molignée Valley, the abbey is one of the finest in the country. Centre d'accueil Saint-Joseph : tasting of traditional specialities of the abbey (bread, cheese, beer and craft products). Guided tours of the abbey and of te pottery workshop (prices here under)- small restoration - souvenirs shop - bookshop - playground - parkings - numerous packages for groups.
